Why concept work must be labelled

Imagination is valuable. Ambiguity about authorship and evidence is not.

Concept work lets a young creative company demonstrate how it thinks before a deep commissioned archive exists. Used well, it can reveal range, standards and the ability to build a complete world from a strategic tension.

The value disappears when the viewer is encouraged to assume that the work launched, that a named company commissioned it, or that an outcome occurred. Clear labelling is not a caveat; it is part of the craft.

A good study therefore proves the quality of the question, the coherence of the idea and the design of the measurement plan—while making no claim to a client relationship or live result.
